Games with good stories are usually poor on gameplay and vice versa.
But i recommend "Plague Tale: Innocence", IF you can get ovet the bitch main character. Big Mutha Truckers 2 is epicly hilarious. The Game of Thrones RPG (the one by Spiders) has a better story than the show and all the books combined, the plot twist is still deep in my head, i love that game!

All Spiders games are great stories, Of Orcs and men with it's too goblin stealth spinoffs.
Not to forget classics like KOTOR 1 & 2. Damn, so many. Dishonor comes to mind, probably the last good game of our generation, before the fagslop started pouring.
Silent Hill 2 (NOT the remake, or the remaster). FF games are very atmospheric.

Life is strange doesn't get enough credit for fucking up the gaming industry.
I have never tried it, just checked out the steam page and got weird liberal / woke vibes from the screenshots and trailer, so I passed.
The only game where I kinda paid attention to the story was persona 3 and it was pretty good
Telltale's the walking dead aren't really games, just choosing dialogue options and watching a cutscene play out. but I though it was a pretty good story. if the definitive collection goes on sale you should get it.
If you for whatever reason decide to try, only play the first and it's sequel (bts).
Rest is trash, especially the one on the clip above.

The first Life is Strange was a bit woke given the blue hair chick was lesbo and the MC has a paranoia about males. But it was tolerable. But jeez I hadn't seen this clip before. I had no idea it had gotten so bad.
