Voobly is the shit.Age of Empires
A great game but after I took like a year off, the power creep was too much and I didn't feel like repurposing entire skill trees for my extant characters or learning and implementing it for the new ladder season that I knew I wouldn't have time for. I could no longer just hop on and play. Still have like 80 ex laying around in non-ladder as well as some gear that was pretty good back then. I can only imagine what it's like now. Can you give me a basic rundown of what's "good" now? What's changed in the past few years?
I played it for the first time maybe 2 years ago, and stopped in less than 2 hours to play something else, so I really don't remember what it was like then. But I've put in around 70 hours in the past 2 weeks, been completely hooked. Still have no idea what I'm doing but it's definitely addictive. I can say it's still a currency grind game, unless you're blessed with good rng.A great game but after I took like a year off, the power creep was too much and I didn't feel like repurposing entire skill trees for my extant characters or learning and implementing it for the new ladder season that I knew I wouldn't have time for. Ah, okay. Enjoy the grind then! They don't call it Grinding Gear games for nothing. Generally once you get to high level and start running maps, you'll start to see some wild shit and you can ask people what builds they run. Reading the forums helped me a ton (I imagine that hasn't changed) in optimizing my first high level character. Pretty sure I put in a good 2-300 hours into him.I played it for the first time maybe 2 years ago, and stopped in less than 2 hours to play something else, so I really don't remember what it was like then. Don't think it worked that way. Societal norms were deeply interlaced with religious ones and there was the whole father's consent thing and all.Kingcom Dome Deliverance
Living back then would be shit but at the same time girls knew their place and you could just up and fuck one. Take the pussy. Living back then would be pretty chill compared to my life right now.

Dude, didn't you say you made music? Have you shared it here?Fallout (the whole franchise); the Elder Scrolls (Morrowind especially; tfw you delve in its esoteric lore); Crusader Kings 2; Europa Universalis 4; Victoria 2; Hearts of Iron 3; Kingdom Come Deliverance; the Souls series; ArmA II

I think I did in some old thread... anyways, not wanting to doxx myself here is the only thing I did that does not have my name with it; I did the guitarworks and the drum programming:
I do not keep contact with those guys anymore unfortunately
Scared I almost doxxed myself; fuck thank god the other guitarist that came after I fell out with the guy who wrote the lyrics just took my "stage" name. Well, fuck, I doxxed him... well, never mind now. Can't say we were ever friends.
Damn, thats fuckin cool. Making music is an absolutely god-tier cope, if you can manage it, I am sure.
The guitarwork and drums are easily the best part tbh.
In any case, keep at it, I hope it goes well for you.I also got music I made on my own; tough I have my real name with it, which I do not really intend on posting around here. Atmospheric stuff really...
A few years ago, I got along really well with those guys from a town in my country. I have actually met Radv at at festival. Anyway we kept contact and on some music I wrote he did add some lyrics. Lost contact with him; it seems that only a year after this demo he did release some more music with this Mihai guy. Can't say I know who he is, but listening to his own take on this project (you'll find another demo on yt) he seems to be more proficient at guitar than I am.
