It really depends who you are and where you live. If you're White and American, then you prob want to be in your prime during a non war scenario between the 1890's and 1950's somewhere. If you get drafted into a major war it's truly over for you.

In North America and most of the western world probably late 40s to early 60s, especially in the US. Modern medicine, jobs, nuclear families. The west was still relatively uncucked back then. Everything started going to shit in the 60s.
I don't think there was ever a good time to be alive in eastern Europe. Life has always been shit here.

For the ordinary "John Doe" man the best era was from mid 50s to early 90s.
Economy on the rise, good healthcare, basically no wars to fight, hypergamy under control...virtually anyone could have a nice life, a decent job, wife and kids, some luxury every now and then.

Other periods are cool only if you were born some kind of king or a hight-level clergyman. Either that or you probably die at 30 of smallpox, famine or in a war
