Venting What does ethnic even mean anymore?

I originally thought Ethnic just meant non-White. But I hear people talking about ethnic immigrant problems or ethnic names or other shit. You also never hear East Asians or Blacks or even Latinos called ethnic/deathnic. It is primarily just Indians and West Asians that use that term. They're the ones with the shared issue of brown skin, recent immigrant, non-Christian religion, and impoverished homeland.

The ironic thing is that before the late 1900s, "Ethnic" in Anglosphere nations generally just meant non-WASP Europeans (Slavs, Balkaniggers, Italians, etc.)
