Every guy I have ever known with a girl best friend was either:
1) Secretly in love with her
2) Pretty much openly in love with her
3) Gay
I've been thinking for like 5 minutes and I truly can't think of one exception I have ever encountered. Even a good looking guy (like a 7/10) I knew who was close/best friends with a 3/10 obese girl ended up developing feelings for her. She cheated on her boyfriend with him many times and he was heartbroken when she married her wealthy HTN boyfriend and moved away.
And to be fair, while I've only had a few female friends in my life, I ended up developing romantic feelings for all of them. This is just male nature unless you are gay.
