All of these things promote positive thinking as the secret to success.

PUAs speak of the importance of having an "abundance mentality," capitalists speak of the importance of having a "high status mindset," and therapists speak of the importance of "mindfulness."

Of course, the true purpose behind this philosophy is simply to make you credulous and docile. If you have an "abundance mentality," then you are likely to keep buying PUA courses and not become disillusioned by the ever-elusive carrot in front of your face; if you have a "high status mindset," then you are likely to become an avid consumer who actively props up the wealth of the ruling class through debt slavery because you think you're somehow a part of it yourself; and if you are "mindful," then you ironically stop thinking about reality and become more susceptible to bluepilled brainwashing.

There is a reason why the high IQ philosophers were all so "miserable" and blackpilled.

high iq thread

These are all anti scientific counterintuitive individualistic idealist theories that overlook the objective material basis that governs and supports any kind of idealism.

Yes. Socrates, Newton, Tesla, Nietzsche and Schopenhauer had elements of social outcasts with a dark view of reality. Even the most known buddha was born into royalty and had to make himself starve and suffer to achieve enlightenment.

Buddha can seem as source of anti-hedonistic, pessimistic worldview. Ideas such as this world is completely poor and pleasures are harmful in contrary with their looks are belonged to him. Schopenhauer was effected from his thoughts indirectly.

you could apply the same principles to religion tbh

"If you just work hard enough, YOU TOO can be a billionaire CEO!"
