I had heard about “Dune,” while working at a bookstore a few years ago. A few weeks ago, I was at work, and my fat chadlite coworker was (he’s really random and loves to talk) talking about movies that featured creatures that really scared him. He mentioned the “sandworms” in the newest “Dune” movies to be terrifying. My foid coworker immediately responded by calling “Dune,” a “boring” series.

I have HBO Max, and both “Dune” (2021) and (2024) are available right now. I’m definitely going to watch both films - first, I want to get brocel’s opinion on the (2021) and (2024) films.

No need to mention the (1984) film, because technology has advanced so much, that there is no comparison.

Jason Momoa is everywhere it seems.

Troondaya
Zendaya tranny is skull malejpg

I somewhat enjoyed first movie but haven't watched a sequel most likely since they were baiting with pointless romance with Troondaya :feelspuke: there will be probably less high iq writing and more of emotional slop and combat scenes.

Both movies are ok at best and some of the casting choices are pretty trashy, the best thing about them tho is the ost. so just another two villanueve films but this time theyre based on one of the most famous sci fi novels

I haven't watched either of those movies and have no interest in ever doing so.

Both books moves Boring
I know much better sci-fi than that

First movie is a 6/10. Second movie is a 8/10.
The book, for me, is a high 8 to 9 out of 10 because of it's raw uniqueness and conceptual creativity with its ideas and themes within the science fiction framework. Which is further accentuated by the sheer amount of effort and time spent on the worldbuilding which can be easily felt through the book itself, but perhaps not as well through the movies. I think Dune's uniqueness has been stifled given how much contemporary sci-fi has been derivate of it, like how Neuromancer is to the cyberpunk genre. And I don't think the movie format particularly helps with that--like at all. If Neuromancer was made into a movie, it would suffer the same fate, there are just qualities that will get lost in translation with a general audience in mind. Even if you have a talented director like Villeneuve.

I like the knives
And
The spit

Sting was awesome in the 80s version

I feel jealousy whenever I look at that timothy fag so I couldn’t even get through the first scenes of the first movie.

Didn't watch them

Just watched “Dune” (2021), it was one of the most boring movies I have ever seen.

Literally, the casting philosophy for the films is, “Either a white person or a nigger, or maybe a Middle Eastern-looking person, that’s it.”

What bothered me the most, was that I felt like I was watching a Disney movie. Sadly, that is a symptom of Hollywood thanks to Jews recycling the same ideas. “Dune” (2021) was basically the video game “Halo” with 75% less violence.

Prequel Star Wars under George Lucas mogs dune to shit honestly

Dune is just white chadlite fights Jew imperium with a bunch of sandniggers, and also the spice must flow.

Haven't watched them yet tbh, but they're sitting on my plex server

I'd say they're both fairly good moves, especially in this day & age. Now ofc, there is some woke bullshit in them, and I disliked how they had Zendaya as a lead role since she's frankly a shit actress & ugly as fuck.

Yeah considering the quality of movies nowadays, it's not too hard to see why something such as this would seem as kinda decent & enjoyable

Personally, it think it would ideally work well as a miniseries.
First movie is a 6/10. Second movie is a 8/10.
I'd say a 5.5-6/10 is solid for both as a rating

I really need to give it a solid read

Yeah hence my miniseries comment above

Yeah basically that, hence why Star Wars, 40k, etc. draw so much from it

After watching the new Dune movies, I went back and watched the David Lynch 1984 Dune movie and liked it a lot. I probably tried watching it a long time ago but this time the plot made more sense. The sets and costumes are way better in the old movie too. It's neat, weird. The new Dune is like a stale boring version. It's like comparing the Star Wars prequels to the original trilogy and realizing how stale and boring the new fancy CGI is.
