Personally, I found, “The Lord of the Rings,” trilogy to be very hard to follow.

First of all, of course - being a boy during the year 2001 in the 5th grade, I hadn’t read any of Tolkien’s work.

When I saw “Fellowship”, I found it to be not as good as Harry Potter, to sum up my feelings.

I know my mom took me to see, “Two Towers,” but I can’t remember anything about that film - probably, because Legolas and the dwarf characters annoyed me.

“Return of the King,” - I know I saw the movie in a theater when it first came out. Sadly, once again I can’t remember anything to differentiate it from the previous two films.

To open a sorority house door and cause all the foids inside to rot: Peter Jackson’s, “Lord of the Rings,” trilogy is severely overrated.

At least he beat a foid for this award!

I like everything except the woke stuff

To be honest - Peter Jackson’s, “Lord of the Rings,” and also Disney’s, “Pirates of the Caribbean,” were two of the most overrated movie franchises from the 2000’s.

I could never get into it tbh. Probably because I never watched them when I was a kid so I don't have that nostalgia or connection. I guess same would happen to someone watching Star Wars or Harry Potter for the first time as an adult they'd find it underwhelming.

Not as much after I read the book. He really botched a lot of things and made it woke.

LOTR isnt supposed to be 3 separate works, they just split it up to match up with the books

I grew up with Harry Potter, so I am pretty biased ngl. Didn't watch the lord of the rings movies till I was like 17 or 18.

thought lotr was really good and saw the second one in theatre.

I tried reading Harry Potter but it felt like reading a childrens book. I guess you had to grow up with it to like it.

We are comparing the two movie series specifically.

The good thing about the first five “Harry Potter” movies is that, they are incredibly easy to follow, you could skip a movie and still be able to understand the film’s plot.

If you miss one piece of dialogue or didn’t catch something vague - you would be lost in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

For example, I never understood the difference between Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White. It was so confusing to try and figure what was going on in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

I've never watched it and I haven't read the books either.

Never read either series, though I will read LOTR

Watched LOTR as a kid, still love it

I know I am bias, although, I do recommend the “Harry Potter” books - they are better than “Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit.”

Despite, J.K. Rowling being a foid - I do credit the Harry Potter books for nurturing my love of reading when I was a boy.

Nah, Tolkien mogs

He also was heavily inspired by European Native faiths & also he was race realism pilled imo

Yes, I enjoyed it.

The original LOTR movies have absolutely everything you could possibly want from a movie.

I have HBO Max, so I will see which of Peter Jackson films are available, but the “Harry Potter” movies were better.
