1. crossing to the pavement on the other side of the street for no reason before our paths are set to collide walking toward each other
(and i know it's not the whole "coz i iz black" thing either... actually that would have been a little better if it was)
nope, just sheer repulsion.
2. cashiers, receptionists, air hostesses, etc... avoiding any further eye connection during convos beyond initial contact
3. nurses minimising contact and small talk that they give to other people when drawing blood at doctors etc... (the first time this actually really puzzled me, but now obviously i know why, especially after my female optician exhibited exactly the same body language)
4. female passengers on public transport avoiding the seat next to me at all cost
5. cashiers dropping change and receipt into your hand at a greater distance than normal when purchasing groceries
