It stems from my realization that the life I have is all I am going to have and will ever have. I am not religious and I think that there is no supernatural phenomenon or any degree of "afterlife" as gods, demons, and spirits do not exist.

As this is all we get in terms of life, I might as well stick around to experience what I can in other areas of existence. Things might be far from ideal for people like me, but I have realized that it is better than nothing.

Death will come naturally soon enough, so what is the hurry?
