Like controlling what TV shows and movies you watch or videogames you play in case it's inappropriate, or not letting you meet with friends because they were a bad influence kek. In my case until I was 11 my parents were fucking annoying with the PEGI rating for videogames so they said I couldn't play games that weren't for my age, except WWE, capeshit and Star Wars games that were labelled +12 and +16 but they didn't care because I already watched it on TV. I had to play GTA San Andreas in laptop when they were sleeping or watch rated R movies in my MP4 kek.
When I turned 12 they realized they were being stupid and overprotective and let me play every game I wanted because they saw I wasn't gonna turn violent from playing GTA, Red Dead Redemption or Call of Duty. With movies they were still strict but at least they let me watch Family Guy or American Dad which they didn't let me before because it had bad words and sex kek. Regarding friends all of them were normal kids so they never said "I don't want you to meet with this kid again´".
