It comforts me that women think most of us are "below average men" and it also shows that I'm not alone in this, it also means that only a small portion of men for them, soon, soon, she won't get what she wants so much and will have to settle for some of the guys she despises so much, guys who to them, are "inferior" compared to the ones they want. That said, don't you think women lost out too? Since only a portion of them can conquer the much-desired man?

I think it remains to be seen. The generation who came of age alongside social media (and shortly afterwards came dating apps) is only now reaching the age where their fertility is sharply declining and the issue of "settling down" is being forced. We're seeing all these statistics of "most men are single but not most women" but it conflicts so much with the mainstream political narrative of "girlboss good, marriage and children bad" that I don't think we're being given a clear picture of the consequences, and just have anecdotes to go off of. For example the odd TikTok video of women in their 30s talking about how they're sad to be alone.
