This evening, I decided to play around with my EMF meter, a nifty gadget I snagged for like €85. Little did I know, the readings I'd get would send a chill down my spine and I was actually quiet unsettled by it. I started in the living room, where the baseline was a comfortable 5-5.5 mG. Nothing out of the ordinary, just the hum of everyday electronics, I have the tv on, multiple laptops open and my monitor cause I was working on code this evening.
But then, I moved upstairs. The readings started to climb. 5-6 mG, which is still within the normal range, but something felt off still, I did not think much of it, even the wifi router did not climb this high. And keep in mind, I was well past the router and this could not have caused the higher spikes at all, I have no wiring nor electronics upstairs at all.
Then, I approached the attic. The meter spiked to 7.1 mG. Yes, you read that right. 7.1. In an area with no wiring, no electronics, just dusty old boxes and forgotten memories like photographs of me in kindergarten. I checked and rechecked, moving the meter around, trying to pinpoint the source. But there was nothing. Just the eerie silence of the attic and the unsettling hum of the meter reaching a consistent 6.9-7.1 mG and sometimes an occasional 7.2.
