We have a higher suicide and depression rate then WWI and WWII. Why is that?

It's higher then two of the most destructive wars in our entire history as a species. I think it's because we've stagnated. Nothing's being made, nothing is changing and we have nothing to struggle for. Add into the fact that a lot of guys have no real reason to live in the form of a wife and/or children, and I can see why it's this way.
