I would recommend reading The Human Zoo, by Desmond Morris. It studies humanity as a zoologist would any animal species, and discusses how urban environments are evolutionarily maladaptive.

Sounds interesting, I have to read this. All I know is this is not how we were meant to live. This feels like a prison.
