men are burdened with an inherent responsibility for their lives and the lives of others. Women are not burdened with any responsibility for anything. You see this play out in the relationship paradigm where when men cheat, they're assholes and pigs, whereas when a woman cheats, it's because the man did something wrong. You see it in the abortion topic, where a woman is given the choice to kill with impunity, but the man can't choose to abandon. They're not given equal choice for the same consequences from the choice to have sex. I'm not suggesting either abortion or abandonment should be chosen, I'm just pointing out the obscene power dynamic here and the lack of choice for the man. Women are given all the same opportunities, yet burdened by none of the responsibility that comes with them. Men are disposable scapegoats.
I recognize that what I said might come across as harsh or seem in the tone of anger, but it's just a social commentary. The ''What about wives/mothers?'' argument is not inherent. Those are lifestyle choices. I'm referring to the roles that are inherent to us as male and female. A man's value is measured almost exclusively on a scale of responsibility, both inherent and voluntary. That's the greater point I'm making. Just take notice of how women are often praised for doing the same thing that is just expected of a man and how much encouragement women are given by the culture about everything compared to men. I never noticed until I started looking so I'm not surprised if you haven't yet. One example of the responsibility dynamic is in the justice system where men are given longer/harsher sentences for the same crimes. That's a fact you can look up yourself. There's also labels men are given like "dead beat," "loser" or "creepy" for which their is no female equivalent and if you notice the first two speak directly to the status quo of responsibility and the worth/value of a man as an individual.
