Whoa whoa whoa- of course it's scripted. This is genuine because of the creative intent behind it. It has a point-of-view that casts the fatty as the protagonist that is the victim of the weird men she dates. It's a natural extension of watching Issa Rae, and Lena Dunham type shows. She probably watched "Girls" and never saw Lena Dunham's character as an asshole who was dating out of her league. She watched "Girls" and said, I want my cake and eat it too.
