The Battlefield documentary series is still unmatched to this day for war documentaries.

The Battlefield documentary series is still unmatched to this day for war documentaries.

What makes it a good documentary is the endless use of war footage where as in modern documentaries are CGI and animated more then the use of real footage.

The WW1 series is a very good one, thanks.

Noticed how the British and French still wore flat caps and not steel helments (right up till 1916 for the British Army). I don't think the Russian Army ever used steel helmets.

If the Kaiser had not diverted army funds to build his navy the German attack in the West may have been successful but nothing is certain in war except misery and suffering.
