A few hours ago there was an armed robbery at my local surf club, involving 6 men around 18-20 years old, and another about 14. They stole from the store and cash register. I witnessed them running out of the surf club, and I followed them on my scooter, along with the owner closely behind me in his car. They turned down into someone's unit and went around the back of the house. We waited on the neighbouring unit for them to come out, and sure they did, bolting down back to the surf club. The owner in the car chased them up onto the grass and into the park, and rammed into the younger guy that was with them, but he kept on running. I went around the back of the club on the scooter to tackle one of the guys. I missed the older one only a few meters, but he took off onto the beach and went into the bush. I then ran back and tried to tackle the younger guy, but they were all gone.
I kept on looking for them until police arrived a few minutes later. I described to them what happened and they sent out about 5 or so paddy wagons to look for them. I looked for another hour or so, asking people questions regarding their whereabouts until I scootered back to my parents work. I told my brother and mum what had happened, then left a few minutes later to ride home.
2 of the guys I chased on the scooter apparently followed me or watched me go back to my parents work. They came looking for me (according to patients and my mum). I left apparently less than 5 minutes before they arrived. Presuming they were armed as well with knives as they just committed an armed robbery, they were out to get me. It wouldn't of just been because of the fact that I chased them, but I'm guessing because their younger companion or brother was harmed by the owner that rammed him.
I can't leave the house at the moment for a few weeks or so until things start to clear up a bit. I doubt they know my home address, but for caution I locked all the windows as well, even though it's almost 30ยฐC in doors without air conditioning, just incase they come looking tonight.
