You will show have to show some other gestures so it’s just in a recording booth. If you’re doing an animated movie or tv show you can just ask the camera person to show you. There are plenty of actors I’ve seen do voice roles where’s no recording session of them doing that role.

At least in Spain and Latin America the voice acting industry is full of corruption and nepotism and you only get work if you're friends/family of another voice actor. Or a celebrity, even if you have no talented for voice acting.

I remember I was forced into some acting thing at school when I was around 11/12 and I sounded completely robotic in it. The video of it got played in front of my whole class and I got laughed at.
