Fashion design has a documented and traceable history. Right now fast fashion retail sales are pushing for more fat and colored women for profit motivation, but you will not see that occur in other fashion spheres. High fashion has nothing to do with profit motivation as they frequently spend millions of dollars and do not sell products at all. It is similar to other art markets.
