Back in 2005, economists also predicted that Brazil would be a superpower in 15 years lol. Even "The economist" praised Brazil's economic growth and published overoptimistic articles that highlighted Brazil's certain rise to stardom as a superpower and Latin American leader. I think many people were misled by those "specialists". I'm sure they wrote many things about India too.
I have noticed that poor countries are liable to remain poor even when the world enjoys a prosperous period of economic growth and peace. The only countries that managed to go from rags-to-riches were South Korea, Singapore and Japan. But that was mainly due to American investments and the local population's grit and industry. I don't think Latin Americans, Indians and Africans have what it takes to create a vibrant and booming economy in their own countries. The so-called " experts" who say otherwise are only trying to sell lies; they probably get paid by those governments to publish optimistic reports.
