Useless dating advice seems kinda similar to useless career advice tbh

"just learn a trade bruh"
"just be more confindent in interviews bruh"
"just move to a different country bruh"
"just go to college and do STEM bruh"

I think they're not very different from the typical meme dating advice "just get a haircut bruh", "just be funny bruh" or "just lift bruh". Both have a complete disregard for personal circumstances or the feasibility of doing those things as it will vary a lot depending on the person. Confirmation bias too the typical "it worked for me so must work for everyone". At the end of the day no matter the area it seems people tend to give useless generic advice.

"Just do X bro", says the person who didn't have to do X to succeed.

fr its like how do we get experience before if the job requires experience?

Funny how when everyone has degrees they wind up being meaningless and the goal posts move.

The reality is there are simply too few decent jobs and wildly too many people actively applying to the same jobs.

Unbelievable nobody thought through how almost all women entering the work force (possibly unchecked immigration too) would put a downward pressure on wages to boot as well as mean young adults become shittier people since they don’t have a parent around to teach them basic decency and behavior.

Also there are welfare loopholes where people intentionally don’t get married then pump out lots of kids to grift the welfare system.

General standard of living has been going down for awhile now and getting a half decent job is fuckin impossible right now and I have a really good degree with work experience. I wish I could’ve grown up and worked in a prior time like the 80s or had my career in the 90s. At least then I would’ve had a home of my own by now and social media/online dating hadn’t dealt their damage yet.

Tbh I'm glad my dad doesn't say you need to do x to succeed. He just tells me you need to fuckin figure it out

Ya more or less. The only different I would say is that there is less psychological resistance to trying. I mean I've been through it, struggling for years to get some kind of job. The only way I got it done was based on a vague tip about a place needing someone ASAP. I never advanced at these jobs and sometimes I tried to hop and ended up in trouble but I was able to jump on these things at least. The deep psychological humiliation coming from women hits different.
