If Russia backs down on Ukraine, their economy will most probably suffer a major recession in a matter of months. That would be the most serious challenge for Putin's regime: civil AND political unrest. I think they're going to either target Moldova or the Baltics next. In case Russia invades any of the aforementioned regions, Trump won't back European armies this time (Make Israel Great Again) and Article 5 will never be invoked (due to the classic fear of nuclear escalation).

Again, the US won't support Europe if Russia eventually decides to expand their original "special military operation" goals. In best case scenario, Europe will be only supported through logistical means as seen with Ukraine in the last 3 years.

I don't see the Baltics getting involved anytime soon, maybe Georgia or somewhere in Kavkaz or any other CIS country.
