Finally watched The Matrix recently and was left rather confused as to how this became some kind of incel cult classic. Neo is highly unrelatable as an incel protagonist. It's shown that he has friends that care about his wellbeing and take him to a club, where all he has to do is stand around to get approached by a foid. Granted, she approaches him because it's part of the plot, but she falls in love with him later on regardless. If there was an incel among the characters, it would be Cypher, not Neo.
Then there's the issue of how both the directors went full trans later in life: they did not escape the matrix
Maybe that explains why the only 2 female characters both looked masculine/androgynous to begin with.
