Finally watched The Matrix recently and was left rather confused as to how this became some kind of incel cult classic. Neo is highly unrelatable as an incel protagonist. It's shown that he has friends that care about his wellbeing and take him to a club, where all he has to do is stand around to get approached by a foid. Granted, she approaches him because it's part of the plot, but she falls in love with him later on regardless. If there was an incel among the characters, it would be Cypher, not Neo.

Then there's the issue of how both the directors went full trans later in life: they did not escape the matrix :feelskek: Maybe that explains why the only 2 female characters both looked masculine/androgynous to begin with.

I mean it's a culturally important piece of film for sure, that's where the whole concept came from. I just don't understand why it got linked to incel culture specifically.

Whatever you say agent Smith

the matrix is normie scum goyslop
Normies don't realize that this movie depicts the real world and holds up a mirror to them, showing them that they are slaves.
The Matrix is a documentary.

Likewise, their stupid mentality is spat right in the faces of the normies: the fact that they defend the illusory world with all their might and simply refuse to hear the truth.

There were 100% good principles from it such as this, regardless of Neo being somewhat unrelatable

I think a lot of people enjoy it ironically
