i worked for a bit more than a year and quitted my job due to horrible mental state.
at first i didnt even thought of looking into unemployment benefits because i was sure i wont get it and that they will find a reason not to give it to me.
i had to wait couple of weeks because i quitted my job (if i would get fired i would get the money right away..)
for the last 6 weeks im getting 350$/week for basicly nothing. i just must come to them like once every 10 days, the women there tell me they got nothing for me (they look for jobs for you) and i can go.
ofcourse if they find a job for you and you dont take it they stop pay you but idc cuz for now at least i get free money and i will probaly get it for the next 4~8 weeks.
thats so awesome, fucking taking my taxes back + some more free money
why the fuck people go for a new job when they can take unemployment benefits? if i would work now i would get like 20% more money

in most places i think its work like that: (europe and america)
first of all you need to work X days before asking for the benefits, here its like 9 months i think so probaly 7-12 months in most places
if you get fired u can ask for them right away
if u quit u need to wait some time (in my case it was 5~7 weeks i think) and u get nothing in that time but after that u get so its still nice

Da fuk? $320 per week in USA? 8 dollars per hour? Shit, I thought even people flipping burgers are better off in USA. When I worked online I usually earned above 7 dollars per hour and mostly I wasn't really working but waiting for something to do. And to be honest 320$ per week wouldn't even be that much in central europe, I mean sure if you had your own apartment then yes but in bigger cities apartment rent+ bills usually costs ~400-450 dollars per month.

Although in Ukraine sure, you would be a king.

USA. The federal minimum wage right now is $7.25. Some states have it higher though. It's a bit higher than that in my state. Keep in mind I make $320 a week after taxes though.
