Unable to return a smile

Sometimes strangers smile at me.

Such as earlier today.
I was at the store and I crossed paths with another shopper. An elderly foid.
We were both about to get the same thing.
I let her go first and she smiled at me.

But, I could not return the smile.

I don’t know why.
But, I almost never smile.

When I do smile, it is a fake smile.
Only done because the situation demanded a smile.

Usually, I just have a blank look on my face.
Expressionless.

I will smile when a foid finally kisses me.
So, I may never smile.

I don’t ask much from foids.
I don’t expect foids to worship me.

I just want some acknowledgement that I matter.
Some recognition, from foids, of the fact that I am a living person.

It is not enough to merely exist.
I need to be alive…..to feel alive.

one time I smiled at a foid when I was young she turned away in disgust, after that I had other foids smile at me but I could not smile back, usualy when a foid smiled at me it was usualy because they were insulting me.
