Seeing all of these orwellian laws getting passed in the UK has given me an appreciation for my country and it's founding fathers. That christmas attack my nigga george washington did was clutch as fuck.

That said, I have no doubt that America is on the same trajectory as the UK (and the rest of western europe), just on a lag. There's too many arguments the pro-government-ID-mandate crowd is using/going to use.

These arguments wouldn't appeal to you or me, but they're quite effective on normies. It's also too easy for the pro-government-ID requirement to pull the "if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear" card and shame opponents of the policy into silence.

I remember when Nikki Haley ran in the last election cycle she was aggressively pushing for a policy even more draconian than the UK's current law. She wanted to make it so that not only did you need to verify your government ID to post anything anywhere, but she wanted your legal name to be publicly attached to every post you made. "I WANT THEIR NAMES!" (this is a direct quote, and in context btw).

I've already come to terms with the fact we're on borrowed time and that there will come a time when you'll need to verify your government ID just to log into your e-mail account or do a google search.

Is it likely that access to forums/imageboards will be restricted? I know of the restrictions for major social media platforms, of course, but apparently sites like 4chan or soyjak party will be unaffected. Are there most laws planned or is this just speculation?

I can't say for sure as I have little knowledge regarding the concept, but if larger corps such as 4chan get banned in our region, it is likely smaller boards like .is will follow the same pattern as well. With digital ID and government tracking, with people people monitored and logged out of their control, I recon within the next few years all of these "hate speech" boards will be shunned from us.

UK will be the first to go, then AU will follow if the Elites keep Labor in.
