In both societies the slave had to obey his master to the word, in both societies slaves could be traded and sold like merchandise, in both societies slaves had to do anything the master wanted up to and including sex, and so on. In all important points slavery was the same in both of those societies.slavery in the ottoman empire is not at all the same thing as slavery under the UK. slaves in the ottoman empire were people with less rights, (obviously it was still extremely wrong, i never ''fully excused'' any of it), while slavery in the UK was subhuman filth
