It's heading there but not in the way most people imagine. It'll probably be slow and uneven collapse like a hollowed out society where trust erodes, institutions fail, and parallel systems fill the vacuum. The conditions for civil war aren’t ideological anymore cause they’re mostly structural. Mass immigration, identity atomization, and cultural demoralization have created a population that no longer sees itself as a people.
The irony is that the state still appears strong but it governs a population with no unifying narrative, no social cohesion, no shared future etc, so there's essentially no future for the nation. I guess once those economic buffer disappear whether that is through inflation, debt collapse, or institutional failure then conflict won’t be about right vs left. It’ll be fragmented, local, tribal. The groundwork is already there cause you have gated communities, racial enclaves in the lovely culturally enriched Londonstan, political censorship and elite disengagement.
