For one, I think I've now come to the conclusion that what makes murder or an act of violence gay or unmasculine if it comes from a place of humiliation. This goes for figures like Tyler, Will Smith, ER-- these are all people that feel some kind of humiliation being in their own skin, so they must commit murder or fulfill an act of violence in order to fulfill the void and compensate for the respect they never had or have lost by dominating the other in an extreme way.
