I get a bunch of left-wing rage bait posts, even though I have shown no interest in anything like that. The algorithm favors engagement over an actual good experience. So if something makes you angry enough, and you can’t resist and you comment, that’s a net gain for X. And basically they have these specialized accounts where such outlandish things are said that you can’t help but comment so it ends up with you being very angry and bitter and the rage baiter getting paid.
