It was easy for the Trump administration to conduct a brazen, gangster raid on Caracas in order to depose and abduct president Nicholas Maduro, because he is a man.
But his vice president -- and the new acting president of the country -- is an innocent looking female:
It would be comparatively much harder to justify the extermination of dozens/hundreds of people in order to get to her -- whether to kidnap her on Trump'ed up "charges" or execute her for failing to tow the US line.
On the flip side, however, females are more sensitive to pressure so she might cave more easily even absent direct violence. There are unconfirmed rumors that she's already been compromised. Time will tell.
