Jokes aside, my guess is that Trump uncucked himself from the Saudis. It's probably "revenge" for that assassination the Saudis did a few weeks ago. Maybe he doesn't need them that much anymore with fracking and low oil prices.
As far as I understand the Saudis were the main motivator behind the US mission.
