You also believe someone would literally get shooter in the ear risking a deadly shoot in the head just to raise his popularity? Sounds unlikely, I also believe it's the complete opposite and the officers wanted to let crooks kill Trump and that's why they let him shoot 3 times despite they knew he was there.

Honestly, the acting comes across as amateurish, but it will probably give Trump’s ratings a small boost since a lot of normies will believe it. In a realistic scenario, tho, no one would be pointing or aiming anything at him if there were an actual armed suspect. That would include cameras directed toward the president, as even those could be treated as potential threats.
