correction: she can move to any SCHENGEN-area country. Some non-EU countries, like Norway, Iceland or Switzerland, are in Schengen. I'm a 100% German and I think the US isn't that bad of a place to live, it's also a beautiful country nature-wise. Certainly better than some EU countries for living (wages, taxes).
