I was bullied by 2 gay guys in school (one at one school and another at another school). They were both weird assholes and very talkative and extroverted. Gay people are mean in my experience. The first one made school pretty bad for me from 4th-7th grade. Fortunately I wasn't sexually harassed by them like dbdr was, just verbally bullied. The second one yelled "See you in hell!" at me for literally no reason, I had never done/said anything bad to him. He was mentally ill. They probably felt uncomfortable bullying a normie NT guy so they bullied the most quiet, non-NT, nerdy, truecel guy at the school (me).

It wasn't obvious that he was gay. It was just the rumor some people had. Plus he had a lisp sound in his voice. He was also embarrassed (?) to change clothes in the change room with the other boys for P.E. so he went in the bathroom to do it.
