Haven't been out enough to have that happen in irl, but the many times I've joined chatrooms, especially in big ones, that usually is the case.

And the last time I did was on reddit.

Used to constantly defend myself and argue with them, but then after that one event, something just snapped. I stopped caring.

This is how people are, no matter where I go. When you act different, or awkward in some way, when you make the smallest mistake, they're going to attack you viciously.
