My father watches TV at night, whilst my mum is making a racket/lots of noise. I've tried to fall asleep wearing earmuffs but it is too uncomfortable, and can only wear them whilst sleeping on my back (which I can't do).

As soon as I start to fall into the sleep cycle, I get woken up, over and over again. This has been happening every since I could remember.

When I am drifting off asleep, my body is so naturally used to waking up in that sleep phase that it does it automatically - even without there being any noise.
I can't fall asleep now without instinctively waking up multiple times.

Since a young age, my mother has always slammed on my window to wake me up at around 6:30am, so naturally now I can never sleep in past 6 - 6:30am.

Just as mentioned above, i've got some kind of ptsd from the knocking on the window, and as soon as I am in the last sleep phase my body forces itself awake, as it has done for years on command.

I try and go to bed early, but I can't fall asleep due to the clammer + instinctively waking up.

So I try and sleep in, but my body naturally wakes me up at around 6am no matter what.

Use ear plugs

Use ear plugs
I've tried that too but it feels so uncomfortable.

And even then when I do use it I still instinctively wake up.

i have to use drugs to get any sleep otherwise i just can't stay asleep or get any at all

i relate, ironic this comes from serial chiller. Hope you can get some good sleep soon.

Brutal annoying family pill. I can relate :feelsbadman:

Maybe sleeping gummies like melatonin will help

:feelskek: Thanks :feelsokman:

Eh I haven't tried, but I generally try and avoid medication
It works well for me, just eat 2 of them like fruit snacks and you fall asleep 30 minutes later

I passed out drunk this morning shortly after 9 and woke up again around 6 pm. But that doesn't work every day. Often I wake up again after only four hours.
So don't even try it with alcohol.

Yea I wouldn't use intoxicants

Those sleep gummies might work but eh who knows

Tell them to be quieter.
I've been telling them for years.
It's gotten to the point where it is just a joke.
At like 6 in the morning they are intentionally slamming doors and yelling.

They said I should just move out of the house so honestly I will, probably some time next week once I sought out my money and tent.

Loud people have always seemed suspicious to me.

However, they are not entirely wrong about the idea of moving out.
I'm guessing you're not 18 or 19 anymore?
Nevertheless, they can be somewhat quieter.
Sometimes I think that quite a few normies are half deaf.

Won't be able to in Cuckstralia. The government has made melatonin supplements prescription only (though elderly people can buy them over the counter at low dosages for whatever reason).
