To me, it sounds like a great way to compensate for crappy genes.

Chemical enhancement has been around since the mid-1930s when German scientists first learned how to make synthetic testosterone, and since then, chemicals derived from testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) have been enhancing athletes and men with semi-functional gonads in both body and mind. It's everywhere these days, and it's never been easier to turn in your natty card and leave humanity behind. Even people on this very forum are chemically enhanced.

Prosthetic body parts have existed for centuries, though they've served only cosmetic or extremely limited functional purposes compared to their natural counterparts. Until very recently, that is. As we leave the 2010s and enter the 2020s, prosthetic limbs are starting to catch up to natural limbs, and we may eventually reach a point where they surpass. Indeed, once we get to that point, I won't be shocked if people with no physical handicaps whatsoever opt for prosthetic implants.

Science fiction may be turning into science fact. As we all know, there actually is a gym for your face, and it's called the operating room. Perhaps for those of us whose bodies aren't suited for an actual gym, the OR might eventually become a viable alternative for that as well.

Ray Kurzweil is mentally ill coper and I say that as a mentally ill person myself.

I really hope I'll get to see such things as sex robots, brain enchantments, artificial limbs, baldness cure and a general improve to the human condition with technology. Can't wait for ghost in the shell tier technology to become real and live the cyberpunk dream ngl

If I could edit myself I'd make so that cooming feels like heroin injection

Oh yeah, because technology continues to make men's lives better. Remember when it solved our problems? lol

Transhumanism is just an aspie meme to keep you chasing pie in the sky.

We are not even close to that shit yet. Of course we have had chemicals and hormones you can take for a while, but other body modifications are still very limited and not even close to being on par with your natural limbs or bodily ability or brainpower.

Even when they do invent stuff that is that good, it will only be for rich people anyways, and the only poor people who would even have a chance at getting that stuff would be as guinea pigs or test subjects for companies.

Maybe but its way too early for us so it doesn't matter.

Most of us are still in our 20's and 30's. We can afford to wait. There will probably be bootleg options in poorer countries for people in the west with less money.

Technology isn't useless just because it hasn't gotten your dick wet.

I would simply agree with whatever you propose bcz i know that you are an uber-high IQ.

But I am afraid that it would only deepen the social inequalities we already have since only the rich will be able to get these things unless you create some other mechanism of allocation. In fact, I would say that our society should be prepared and rearranged and only then such things can be used en-masse.
Although, I think you don't give a damn about inequality.

It's absolutely true that the very wealthy would be getting the best of the best, but as other forms of enhancement develop and rise to the top, the "obsolete" options would become more widely available, as would bootleg/counterfeit options. If you live in the west, you're already rich compared to most of the world.

High IQ.
But don't you agree that society should change before the implementation of such bio-enhancements?
Or perhaps you think inequality is no important and actually legit?

Society as-is should be fine for bio-enhancement. The gap between have and have-not would widen, definitely, but if the have-nots are still better off with it than without, how is it not a good thing overall?

I simply think the most urgent thing in our world is not the lack of technologies but the clown nature of our society. I am even afraid that these bio-enhancements will be used in a retarded manner.
But, I agree that overall it is a good thing. No doubt.

They absolutely would be, especially as they become more widely available. Steroids already are and have been for decades. Idiots will be idiots. They serve as object lessons for people who aren't.

The irony will be that the poor will get ALL cybernetic enhancements at the cost of their humanity to compete with eachother in the market while the ultra wealthy will become in tune with their humanity and their luxury of not needing augmentation because they dont have to work from owning so much. The wealthy already get to have the whole human experience. Sure, they'll market augmentation as being classier but none of the high class will actually have them.

The underclass will have augmentations which will be so expensive (likely due to future inflation) that they'll have to work decades to pay it off (longer because the life extending effects of augmentation make time less of a problem) and you wont own those augmentations. Banks will be more than happy to have slave to a loan. Since we humans can notice the most subtle oddities of a face, cybernetic augmentations like limbs and facial modifications will make people empathize with augmented people less.

Eventually the augmented underclass will have so much of their bodily composition made up of manufactured parts that they'll have nothing human left and have their human rights (not human anymore)

WAY to early for that shit. You'll end up as an abomination
