In short, they are attention seekers who look for the most controversial and outrageous things to lash into. This lines fully up with many people's online experiences daaling with them (including my experiences)
Research suggests a higher prevalence of personality disorder traits in transgender people compared
to cisgender people (Anzani et al, 2020; Behzad et al, 2021; Cole et al, 1997; Deiana et al, 2016;
Duišin et al, 2014; Furlong and Janca 2022; Hepp et al, 2005; Madeddu et al, 2009; Meybodi et al,
2014; Miach et al, 2000; Sing Hong Lam et al, 2021; Wanta et al, 2019). A particularly high
prevalence of cluster B personality disorders (borderline, narcissistic, histrionic and antisocial
personality disorders) in transgender patients has been identified (Anzani et al, 2020; Hepp et al,
2005; Madeddu et al, 2009). One study indicated 81% of the sample of transgender people met the
criteria for at least one personality disorder with 57% of those having narcissistic personality
disorder (Meybodi et al, 2014).
