Reading the comments on that thread...honestly it's kind of lame to dunk on a random twitter user who committed suicide. I say the same for those who were celebrating charlie kirk getting murdered. My coworkers were all freakishly happy about that happening and I thought the same thing.
I know i'm probably coming off as LE CRINGE ENLIGHTENED CENTRIST but it's just sad seeing how divided the country is. When I was much younger I was in several different friend groups that had people both on the right and the left, and in some cases far right and far left. Like one friend group I was in had a fullon communist, a libertarian, a right wing christian conservative, and a liberal democrat. Yet we all got along. That would be completely impossible today. No zoomer has a friend group remotely like that. Hell, for so many zoomers their only friends are on discord. Everyone is so divided, isolated and atomized.
This extreme division is all the result of everyone being terminally online. Everyone is constantly plugged in on reddit, tik-tok or twitter. Social media was a mistake.
I know I sound like some uppity moralfag waving his finger at everyone, but I'm honestly not like that at all. I'm a low empathy guy, I just hate this shitty ultra-divided low trust society...and I don't think anything can fix it at this point. I remember when 9/11 happened and it brought the country together...albeit briefly. Now we're at the point where not even an alien invasion could bring the country together.
This is another reason I'm e/acc. I just wanna live in FDVR away from all this shit.
