I don't live with my parents anymore, but Friday night after work, I had a convo with my dad over the phone, it's been 6 months since I talked to him.
He of course asked me about my dating life (which is pretty much non-existent), and I responded:
'Nah man, I don't think you'll ever be a grandpa, women these days are all whores incapable of loyalty and care about superficial stuff such as looks, they want the best possible option they can get, and it isn't me'.

He responded:
'That's life man, shit happens'

Mind you, he is a trucker and heroin addict, so I guess his low inhib response mixed with feeling indifferent towards it, is thanks to heroin use as well.
Fucked up to tell my parents they won't ever be grandma / grandpa, but it is what it is.

They’re happy and content having “got theirs” and that’s all that matters to them.

Your struggles, pain and suffering don’t register in their world.

They are selfish fucks and for understandable reasons (to us ie they won the genetic lottery while we lost).

Still that knowledge doesn’t make their ignorant assholery and lack of care and belief in our struggles any less infuriating or their ridiculous belief that they did anything other than simply exist in order to get the woman that they did.
