We can already see how fast technology is progressing based on the past decade and new inventions like Google Duplex. I have no idea how accurate the estimation from this website is though

Studying CompSci, went trough some profession, mostly at 3-5%. Guess I am safe.

yep probably, though i figure thats a little while of considering i live in seaside city.

also im pretty sure goverment will have to make universal basic income a thing if robots really do take most jobs.

after all if all peoples income is gone who is going to buy companys shit?

Not in my lifespan. They have too many negative qualities for what they currently offer, so I’m safe.

Around 40%. Damnit. Thought I was safer.

Chemistry degree, so.... probably not, I mean there will probably be robots to do all the boring lab stuff, but people still actually need to understand what the fuck the robots are doing and how the Chemistry works so, no.

1.5%

Probably because my job partially involves researching and help create these job replacing bots

Yes it will. Hopefully we get universome basic income if that happens. Then i can rot in peace

Elon Musk was on the news the other day. He is sleeping at the Tesla factory because they can't make enough Model 3's.

The main hold up has actually been the automation. It never worked properly and now they have hired a shit load of people to replace what was automated. Musk said that man power is very underrated.

I work as a maintenance tech in a factory. We have a lot of industrial robots on our production line. We have plenty of people as well. Sometimes if there is a breakdown having a certain level of man power helps to compensate. Likewise certain robotics problems are beyond my skill level to diagnose or repair and the guy who can does 9-5. Robots have their place but are not the be all and end all. They augment a human workforce. They don't replace it.
