N64 though. I loved mario kart I would play it for hours. and marios 64 too. I watched tv all day before internet and early 00s television was far superior to anything on now. the internet was slow and had dial up, but it was so much more free wasn't it?

As someone who lived throughout the 2000s, it wasn't perfect, but for the most part, I beg to differ.
At least media in general back in the 2000s was actual quality. Look at games like F.E.A.R, Half-Life 2, SWAT 4, DOOM 3 and compare that to now. Those games MOG the absolute fucking shitstain garbage that's being spewed out on a monthly basis. I only ever play older games aside from the typical "addiction shooters" like CoD or CS:GO, which don't really have pandering that affects the games badly. You have to really find needles in a haystack when it comes to looking for newer games which are actually solid. When I was a kid, DSL was the most common wireless Internet method, and that was kind of slow, but all games were on CDs.
Same as cartoons and TV shows. We had Dexter's Lab, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, Ren and Stimpy...and now look at the absolute steaming piles of horse shit that are infecting the TV waves like Stephen Universe. I have not watched TV since 2014. Before I even had grounded political views, I was seeing the sharp turn into the shit barrel that general television was taking.
Feminists, commies, SJWs, etc. were all laughed at. Now, everyone embraces their ideals. They're both the puppets and the puppet masters who pull the strings and are part of the reason why almost all forms of media nowadays are pozzed and dogshit. BLM and other pandering activist groups would have been laughed at and berated for blocking street corners if they were around in the 2000s. Now, everyone's somehow okay with it, and you're the bad guy and you're bound to get doxxed by them and the media if you have to defend yourself against one of their little cult members who goes apeshit and starts smashing your shit up.
And within our sphere -- maybe not all ugly guys were able to get girlfriends back then, but most guys who were at least below average looking were able to get their looksmatches. If 90% of this userbase was their current age in the 2000s, this forum would practically cease to exist.
I was able to see all types of women with all types of men roaming the malls and the streets back in the 2000s. The emo skater kid with his emo skater gf. The slightly overweight nerdy guy wearing a Zelda cap with his gamer gf. The alternative couple wearing metal shirts and ripped jeans. Now, every type of woman wants Chad. If they were in the dating market today, that emo skater girl I described? Chad only. The gamer girl I described? Tall white Chads only. All of the guys in the equation? They would be shit out of luck if they were in the dating market today trying to go for those girls. I am out literally every single day, and I can tell you, every younger woman who I see with any guy at all nowadays is with some [at the absolute bottom bare minimum] Chadlite (and RARELY HTNs, who are usually with fat women) who is at least 6'0".
You have to admit, we had it so much better back then compared to today. We are absolutely FUCKED these days I tell you.
