Sure, to some degree. They still have the matrilineal descent and circumcision for boys and so on. Seems to me like there is some overlap in how women evolved to behave (physically weak, have to manipulate group/men to get what they want) and the selection pressures a merchantile people might be under (always be envied by the natives, always in the minority ~~ physcially weaker, have to control the narritive or risk being ganged up on).

Inside the jewish hierchy religious scholarship is/was kind of a must to climb, so there is a pressure to be capable of using and manipulating language. Which is a more feminine kind of status climbing compared to conquering enemies. Even if generals etc. need to be smart, physcial capabilities and direct physical aggression are not optional if your people are waging war.
