Tips for Malenia fight?

I'm at the end of my first Elden Ring playthough, I want to beat all of the shardbearers before I fight Godfrey. Malenia is my only shardbearer left.

I attempted Malenia 4 times amd she raped me all 4 times, even with my Mimic.

Current Build:

Dark Moon Greatsword +10
Carian Knight Shield

Armor: Blaidd's set + Greathelm (I have Radahn's set, but I'm fat rolling with it)

40 Vigor (45 With RSS)
21 Mind
30 Endurance (35 with RSS)
21 Strength (31 with RSS and SS Heirloom)
16 Dexterity (21 with RSS)
62 Intelligence
9 Faith
7 Arcane

Talisman 1: Radagon's Soreseal
Talisman 2: Shard of Alexander (The better one from Farum Azula)
Talisman 3: Godfrey Icon
Talisman 4: Crimson Amber Medallion +2

Other Notable Talismans: Axe Talisman, Greatshield Talisman, Curved Sword Talisman, Radagon's Scarseal.

Physick: Crimson Crystal Tear, Spiked Cracked Tear

Equipment:
11x Crimson Tears +11
1x Cerulean Tears +11
Mimic Tear +10

I don't wanna runefarm at Mohg's palace for hours unless thats the only option

That’s exactly what i ending up doing lol

runefarmed enough to the point I was a tank that hit like a truck. Been a while since I played but I used some kind of spiky mace that had bleed, a great shield of some sort, and crucible armor. Put most points into vigor and strength

I two handed the moon sword when I beat her. I had the veteran armor on to help tank hits makes the mimic tanky too. A word of advice tho I completely ditched the moon sword and just uses spells for the last main bosses and most of all of the dlc. The last boss of the dlc really needs a strength build to beat so you will have to switch to probably beat him. I had too.

Any tips?

I used mimic tear and blasphemous blade and just nvked her to death after a few tries. I’m not sure how powerful that combo is still but it worked for me pre dlc. If you’re a mage then I’m sure there’s plenty of spells that melt her. That kamehameha ahh one should do well if you can find an opening for it or the homing swords

I played all the souls games and sekiro at the time, I thought that Elden Ring was going to be easy since it was aimed at a larger audience, yet the Malenia fight for me was has been the hardest out of all the games.

What is this build

An intelligence greatsword build? The talismans increase the strength of the weapon skill. Ik it's not perfect but I invested a bit into strength and dex for physical defense and not getting knocked off my horse as easily for bosses like the Fire Giant. Arcane and Faith are just at the base level for the Vagabond class.

How good is your computer and how good is your dodging? Malenia just has a very low margin of error for input and honestly its harder if you have a shitty pc with input delay

also I'd grind to up your vigor. Late game Elden ring has notorious damage spikes. Malenia being a prime example. I think I was at 60 when I fought her or what ever the soft cap was

did you do it?
Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman and 60 vigor will help a lot.
the Carian Knight Shield is useless against her do not even equip it, instead put a max level claymore with cold infusion (whetblade in raya lucaria) in your left hand and just jump attack her with powerstance attacks with the claw talisman.
this is a problem with the game, powerstance jump attacks with generic weapons with cold or blood infusion are better than anything else, if you ditch the Dark Moon Greatsword for a bastard sword with cold infusion assuming it is maxxed out, you have two swords that deal 600 damage that turns into 1400 in a jump attack plus 127x2=254 status effect build up.

no mana cost either.

It's a dog shit fight, it's easy apart from that bullshit waterfowl dance, I've been summoned to that fight countless times and that move is always what kills the host.

Try it with maliketh’s black blade or with the blasphemous blade, both helped me to deal bunch of damage to her

Its been a while since I played but here’s a tip:

You can trigger her dance with throwable items.
She usually does her first dance when she gets to about 75ish% during her first phase. You can tell she’s about to dance because her behavior changes subtly. Think of her dance as loading a gun. When she has no ammo she attacks relentlessly. When it’s loaded you can trigger her dance at a safe distance with a throwable items.

Your build is kinda mid too imo. Fat rolling is unacceptable. Vigor is not so important. If you have a strength/int build you should balance those two with an edge to strength since the majority of your damage is physical.

Fat rolling is a no no especially with a boss like malenia. You wont be able to dodge and learn her attack patterns which is still needed even if you are using mimic. Your build is pretty decent idk why people are shitting on it in this thread but yeah I think its more of a skill issue tbh its just trial and error
