The first answer feels robotic and learned. For the rest she sounds like she is speaking from the heart or at least she is more relaxed.

But at the end of the day it was just a product of the era, just like today's internet is. If you don't know anything else, then your opinion will align with your relatives or what you been fed by the news. I doubt that most people had that kind of freedom of perspective back then to reflect the reality, plus it was on TV so it could be censored and could have some kind of a script. Or maybe I'm too schizo and can't see the forest for the trees.
