Skyrim was my intro to this type of game and I absolutely love it.
Maybe if I spent years playing oblivion back in the day, I wouldn't bother with this.
But I've never played Oblivion so this is like an an all-new game to me.

I played the first one for a couple hours and the mechanics were so complex. I uninstalled it after wasting 4 hours just trying to find which store I can sell stolen wine bottles and jewelry in. There are like 8 fucking stores in which you can sell 8 types of items. The game barely gives you any clue where to sell stuff so you can upgrade your armour with the money.
Hence yeah, the newer one is kind of a relief for me.

While the game is not a total flop in my opinion it still needs a ton of work before I can safely touch it. Zoomerfied UI, angular npc faces, lower overall difficulty, too much of visual noise, brown shit filter and soy gas. Abysmal performance very typical of an UE5 stuttering jeetcoded slop. I'm not in a hurry, let's see if modders can think of something.
Original oblivion unironically has more soul than anything skyrim ever wished it had.
Fuck the remaster. I hopped back on the OG one with a relaxed mind and I'm loving it. Already put 15 hours in it in the last few days. I got the hang of how the game works
seen a friend play it and in all honesty it's the same shit as the OG with shitty Unreal Engine Nintendo hire this man graphics, though it does look pretty when you're in Oblivion itself.

Its the most boring fuckin game ive played all year, ive bought a lot of games this year an this is by far the most mediocre and boring.
Ye as boring as Skyrim was it fuckin clears this piece of shit in every aspect. At least Skyrim had satisfying brutal combat finishers, this combat is absolute arse, it feels like shit and it fuckin stutters every 5 seconds.
I've played some great games this year, not made a single bad purchase until this shit, its so fuckin mediocre and boring yet normies are lappin it up as the 2nd comin of christ, feels so bland and dated and its not very fun.

Just like all Remaster/Remake titles that came out these last few years, again the only purpose of this release is rewriting the past and indoctrinate the youth.
As far as technical/gameplay aspects go, i think its much worse aesthetically, and the fact the original was only 5 GB while this is 100+ just shows what kind of hacks worked on the game.

it's alright, the performance is fucking horrible. It stays true to the original, to the point where they even left glitches from the original in jfl. It's not worth the price tag, either pirate or wait for sale
Games like Oblivion haven't aged well. It's boring and feels unfinished. The appeal of this large world felt unique 20 years ago, but now it's a bunch of emptiness we've seen countless times.

Can't believe this trash is so beloved, the gameplay sucks, u literally 1 shot everythin, any difficulty higher ur 1 shotted by rats, gameplay sucks balls, no finishers like in skyrim, no depth of an RPG compared to KCD2 which blows this away, this is the most overrated shit ive played since animal crossing.

I'm playing Oblivion more and it's growing on me. I guess I just like the freedom to do whatever I want and there's so much to do, even if a lot of these quests are busy work and the main story is boring.
