What are your thoughts on this subject?

I feel as if god could have went about it a different way to prove Satan wrong.
Yea, after discovering this book, I honestly feel dissapointed and made me rethink God and Christianity as a whole. This single book dismantles the notion that God is a loving and merciful responsible deity worthy of worship and then here you have him having a bet with Satan on how much Job can last before breaking. This book in itself justifies all gnostic beliefs. :feelsseriously:

Sad story to keep bitches in line when they stop believing in just-world fallacy.

He intentionally caused harm to someone to prove a point to Satan, who he knew would eventually rebel and be extremely evil. There was no point in convincing Satan

what kind of job?

Is it worth reading? I've only ever analyzed the Samson part of the book of judges and thought it was great but am too lazy to read the rest of the bible. Those 4 Samson chapters took me like 2hrs.

Didn't Satan already rebel against God? I think Job takes place after Genesis.

Yeah it does, the storyline is confusing and somewhat nonsensical tbh
That's what I am saying. That's why I doubt its canonocity. This book alone goes against everything what Christianity preaches.

The whole point is basically that God can 'test you' like the mudslimecopers keep pointing out. if you pass the test, which Job did, you get 'rewarded'. He lost everything, but gained everything back. It's also a justification for bad happening to people while you don't deserve it.
Ok fine, but that still doesn't justify what happened to Job's kids. And we hear that he got new kids, so basically what I am getting from here is that we are replaceable pawns to God. Also, it basically depicts the relationship with God as manipulative, abusive and masochistic as fuck. Perfect for cucks. :feelswhat:

Also, the concept of God "testing" you is retarded as fuck. He's omniscient, he knows where your faith lies, why would he need to test you?

to 'prove' it to the masses. So to your fellow humans. Why would he have to do that if he did in fact exist, and is indeed all-knowing? He apparently wants to 'justify' himself to us mere mortals. That makes 0 sense as well.
I think actions speak louder than words. Unfortunately for God, what he did in Job has a different outcome than what he envisioned. :feelstastyman:
